"Goldilocks and the Three Bears" is a classic fairy tale about a girl named Goldilocks who stumbles upon a cottage in the woods and feels what she finds is hers. Inside, she finds three bowls of porridge, three chairs, and three beds—each belonging to a family of bears: Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear. She samples each, choosing the one that suits her best, but in doing so, she eats Baby Bear’s porridge, breaks his chair, and falls asleep in his bed. When the bears return home and discover her, Goldilocks wakes up in fright and flees, learning a lesson about respecting others' space and belongings.

Life is a Fairy Tale is a series of seven sculptures that explores the fragile boundary between stable housing and the life events that can lead to homelessness. Many of the fairy tales we grew up with—such as Hansel and Gretel and The Three Little Pigs—center around a single event that forces the characters into homelessness, highlighting the unpredictability and vulnerability of losing one's home.
